uparrow Event: Updated Thirst Thursday #3: Crispin Inn/Wrong Turn/Mash Tun images/beerfoaming_thumb.jpg
Date: Thursday, 2nd May 2019 at 11.00am
Location: Crispin Inn, Sandwich
Details: The third of six Thirst Thursday events taking us to some of the best real ale pubs in the branch.

Meet at the Crispin Inn, Sandwich from 11.00am onwards. At 12.45pm catch Regent Bus Service 542 from the Guildhall to the Wrong Turn, Barfrestone. From the Wrong Turn walk to Shepherdswell railway station (about 2.5 miles) for the train into Dover and a short walk to the Mash Tun, Dover.

The single bus ticket and train ticket means that this is not a cheap day out, but worth every penny we're sure!

Notes - Travel

  • Space is limited on the 542 to Barfrestone, so numbers will have to be rationed so please let John know if you wish to come: email john@ramblingrumbler.plus.com. First come - first served!
  • Regent Coaches accepts Senior concessionary passes but not Stagecoach tickets so at a guess there will be a fare of £4 to £5.

Notes - Food

  • According to their website, the Crispin Inn serves food from 11.00am. So if you plan on eating there give yourself enough time to get to the Guildhall to catch the bus.
  • Alternatively, you could order a cheese board from the Wrong Turn for £5.00. These need to be ordered in advance, so let John know by Monday, 29th April be emailing john@ramblingrumbler.plus.com.
