Introduction

The Deal, Dover, Sandwich and District branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is proud to announce the 27th White Cliffs Festival of Winter Ales & Ciders, a festival the branch has hosted since 1994.

This year we'll be serving a range of around 70 real ales, none less than 5% ABV, of which around 35 are from Kent breweries and the rest are from mostly small independents and micro-breweries. We'll also have an extensive range of Kent real ciders available.

The Venue

This is the 27th year our Festival of Winter Ales & Cider has been held in Dover's Town Hall, the oldest and most historic venue for a beer festival in the country. With its superb stained glass windows, collection of arms and official portraits of the Lords Warden of the Cinque (pronounced ’sink’, not ’sank’) Ports it makes a truly unique location for a beer festival.

Volunteering

Our Beer Festival is run and staffed by unpaid volunteers and we are always on the lookout for CAMRA members to help setup and run the festival.

But don't think that you have to work behind a bar - there are plenty of other jobs to be done:

You don't have to give up a whole day or a whole evening. Just tell us when you think you can help and what you would like to do.

So, if you can help in any way, then please email us at beer.festival@camra-dds.org.uk

Note: Please bring your CAMRA membership card with you when you register to work at the beer festival. If you do not, you may not be allowed to help.

Sponsorship

Whether you are an individual or a business have you considered sponsoring a barrel of beer at our Winter Ales Beer Festival?

Beer Festival sponsorship represents a great opportunity either for an individual to support this fantastic local community event, or a business to promote themselves to a wide and diverse audience over two fantastic real ale days.

A Sponsorship Package costs 75 and includes two complimentary tickets to the festival, 2 souvenir glasses and eight half-pint beer tokens. Your sponsorship will be noted in the festival programme as well as above the cask of beer you sponsored.

If you would like to sponsor a cask of ale please email us at beer.festival@camra-dds.org.uk
